Who we help

RAPt delivers drug and alcohol services to over 13,000 people a year. These include drug-addicted and alcohol-addicted* clients, both in prisons and in the community.

Over 800 people a year enrol in RAPt rehabilitation programmes.

A survey done by RAPt of 321 people in recovery shows that the ‘average’ RAPt graduate:

  • is 33 years old
  • from a very diverse ethnic background
  • left school at 15
  • has been employed mainly in construction

Furthermore, up to 50% are homeless (this is particularly true of prisoners upon release).

These men and women have proved that, with our help, they can pull themselves out of the chaos of crime and drugs to lead happy and productive lives.

*RAPt uses the term ‘addict’ to mean someone who is using drugs or alcohol and cannot stop without help.
